Magazine Cover Drafts
First Draft

We received strongly positive comments within the feedback for our first draft, stating that we had accomodated to the usual conventions of a children's TV magazine cover well. Some feedback did offer us constructive criticism which we evaluated in order to progress our work with improvements. This included the lack of a website (which is often found on real media texts), the general dark tone of the cover and the plain look of the banners.
Changes
In order to make our magazine cover more suitable for our target audience, we added a wesite above the barcode and made slight repositions to the layout, which made our magazine cover clearer for the ease of our audience. We also edited our images by increasing the brightness, contrast and levels along with changing the colour of the bottom banner from black to bright red and adding small white paper aeroplanes between the text on the top banner to produce a much more entertaining and suitable cover for our target audience though the result of a much brighter and bolder cover with added entertainment through the use of doodles.
Second Draft

When collecting feedback for our second draft we found that all of our responses were highly positive, suggesting that not much needed improving upon. They liked our layout and design choices and especially liked the unique design of the top banner, which showed that our product was successful in meeting the demands required by our brief.
Changes
Although we received strongly positive feedback, we made slight improvements by increasing the definition of the sub-text stories and adding drop shadows to our 'bubble' pictures. Also in response to the recasting of our 'sport' character, we replaced the previous image with an image of the new character and changed the name from 'Will' to 'Tyler' in order to show consistency throughout our range of products.
Final Draft

The final feedback collected suggested that our product was highly successful and would easily fit in with real media texts already available. Our intentions came across well and we followed our own design based upon existing conventions to produce a unique magazine cover which was easily identifiable as one of our products, suggesting that we had strong brand identity. When asked through a questionnaire, our audience stated that they really enjoyed our product and would be likely to recommend our product and buy it themselves if available for purchase. Our colour scheme and title design attracted a lot of positive comments and was proven suitable for our target audience. We decided that we needed to make no more changes and were happy to use this as our final product as we found our product to be successful and professional, meeting the standards of real media texts and our brief.
